Recently, the United States has released a new version of safety standards for mobile lights:

Portable Electric Luminaires [UL 153:2014 Ed.13+R:24Feb2025]


The main changes in the new standard are as follows to adapt to market products and regulatory requirements:


Allow some LED lighting fixtures to use 20AWG or 22AWG as power or internal wires

Structural requirements and testing methods for using 20AWG or 22AWG power cords for new LED lighting fixtures

Newly added lighting accessories with button batteries (such as remote controls) should comply with UL 4200A

Update the photobiohazard requirements for battery mobile lights (excluding 400-780nm)

Update the label requirements for low-voltage lamps without built-in power supply

Allow the product to use QR codes to access some or all of the instruction manual content
